Clifton College has marked another exceptional year of progress in Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB), with pupils across the Pre‑Prep, Prep and Upper Schools taking part in a wide range of events, celebrations and pupil‑led initiatives designed to strengthen belonging and build an inclusive school culture.
Across the College, pupils engaged in events including Diwali workshops, Black History Month, Lunar New Year, Ramadan, International Women’s Day, Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Pride, and Show Racism the Red Card Day. Highlights ranged from an Afro Hair Workshop and Open Mic Night to themed lunches, guest speakers and collaborative cross‑College celebrations.
The College’s EDIB work has also received national recognition, being named Highly Commended for Independent School of the Year for Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Justice by the Independent School of the Year Awards, and a Finalist in the Education Choices Awards in the Improvements in EDIB category.
Head Master Dr Tim Greene said the College’s goal is “to ensure every pupil feels a sense of belonging”, while Assistant Head (EDIB) Géraldine Maringo praised the “transformative progress” made over the past five years.
Clifton College extends its thanks to pupils, staff and EDIB Leads for their unwavering commitment to building a welcoming, inclusive community, and looks forward to continuing this work in the year ahead.
