Clifton College has been crowned England Hockey Girls U18 Schools Champions, officially making them the best U18 girls’ hockey team in the country!
The Clifton College team won every one of their eight league games, conceding only four goals in the whole tournament, and scoring 47 – an incredible feat. They went on to beat Brighton 2-1 in the quarter-final, Haileybury 5-3 in the semi-final and Epsom 2-1 in the final, with a great display of sportsmanship and professionalism shown by all teams throughout.
Led by Head of Hockey Olly Keenan, the squad delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition, with months of commitment from the players and coaching team, culminating in a superb final that showcased their exceptional skill, teamwork and determination.
The U18 team’s triumph is a testament not only to their hard work and resilience, but also to the long‑term vision and commitment of the entire Clifton College hockey community – from Pre‑Prep to Sixth Form. It is a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for the school.
