National Boarding Week 2026 was a true celebration of boarding life!
Things began on Sunday with the great “Boarding Takeover,” where boys voted for later bedtimes, extended electronics time, extra tuck, and more football.
Monday saw the competitive spirit come alive during the Boarding Sports Day full of creative events, including welly toss, target lines, egg and spoon races, and the great bedmaking challenge. These events not only encouraged teamwork and friendly competition but also showcased the energy and spirit of More House boarding.
A highlight of the week was the formal award dinner, complete with a three-course meal prepared by the school’s superb catering team! Awards were presented to recognise Boarding Excellence and Outstanding Progress, celebrating students’ achievements.
Midweek brought “Water Wednesday,” an evening full of water fights, slip ‘n slide, and some extra time in the school pool. Then came Thursday’s mega laser tag battles on the school field! We were pleased to also welcome lots of day boys on Wednesday and Thursday to get a taste of all the fun boarding has to offer.
National Boarding Week truly demonstrated what makes More House special: a supportive, vibrant environment where boys build friendships, grow in confidence, and enjoy a rich, well-rounded boarding experience.
